Recap of Snake Reunion # 13
Snake Reunion and Eta Beta Alumni Association Meeting September 30th-October 3rd was at the Wingate in Greenville, NC
This would have been or 14th Snake Reunion; but we did not have a reunion in 2020 due to COVID-19. So, we have now completed our 13th reunion in Greenville. Attendance was light due to the passing of eight brothers over the last two years and continuing concerns over Covid-19. And too, some brothers and or spouses were having health issues. For our 14th reunion we hope to have a larger gathering.
Events were at the Wingate by Wyndham and our annual banquet was again held at the Rickhouse and our attendance was 82 participants' including spouces and dates.
Early Bird Gathering:
Friday Activities: We had a good group play golf on Friday morning, followed by our traditional lunch from Parker's Barbecue. The Eta Beta Alumni Associatiion board meeting followed with a casual social held at The Rickhouse that evening.
Saturday Activities: As usual we had our Saturday Morning Bloody Mary brunch at the Wingate followwed by a tour of the Sigma Nu House on 5th Street. The Kick-off for the Tulane v Eat Carolina game started at 3:30 that afternoon.
After the game we held a Post Game Sandwich Fare, featuring Jersey Mikes sandwiches at the Wingate, along with traditional Snake Reunion beverages and snacks.
Those attending had a great time, especially since ECU whiped-up on Tulane but we missed those of you who could not attend for some reason. Special thanks go to John Lowe, whe stayed on site and at the fraternity house to make sure our events went well. We also appreciated Mike Cunningham's help on Thursday as he and John again put forth a great effort on behalf of Sigma Nu.
