The fun town of Purple and Gold, Will once again listen to tales of old. The Wingate hotel is the HQ, Activities abound with lots to do. Dinner and dance take place tonight! Old Snu’s don’t party anymore until daylight. (dang it that old age thing) A Pirate game on the morrow will take place, As we blow the Hokies out of Dowdy-Ficklen space. If you miss the Snake Reunion, I’m sorry my brother, Because it will be a whole year before there’s another.

Memorial for Darrell Hurst: Commander Stout has has advised that some folks who did not make a donation in memory of Brother Darrell Hurst have indicated they would like to do so and requested the following be posted; therefore, those brothers who would like to make a donation in memory of Brother Hurst should send it to Dr. Darrell Hurst Endowment for Cultural Enrichment, Blue Ridge Community College, Box 80, One College Lane, Weyers Cave, Va. 24486. We know that Brother Hurst would be thankful and appreciative that his friends remembered him in support of this endowment.

Pathway of Honor: In celebrating its 125th anniversary in 1994, Sigma Nu established the Pathway of Honor. This inspirational addition on the grounds of our headquarters Shrine and Ethical Leadership Center in Lexington celebrates in visible and lasting form the names of individual Knights of our great Fraternity.
The Pathway consists of distinctive antique bricks, each inscribed with a member's initials (or initials and full last name) and his chapter and initiation number. The bricks of all members of a given chapter are grouped together. A distinctive "Chapter Stone" made from Virginia limestone marks the location of the bricks of the chapter when the chapter has acquired at least fifty bricks.
All moneys received from participation in the Pathway of Honor, over and above the cost of the bricks and installation, are used to pay for the renovation of the Headquarters, for the costs of the new Wing of Service to the Brotherhood, an attractive and much-needed addition for Fraternity operations, and for endowing the future maintenance of these properties, thus to preserve forever the Shrine of Sigma Nu for present and future generations of the Knights of the Legion of Honor.
This is a marvelous opportunity for each Knight not only to commemorate in perpetuity his membership in the Legion of Honor, but also at the same time to participate in the costs of the enlargement, renovation and future preservation of the Headquarters Shrine.
A hand-fired, red clay brick, inscribed with the member's initials, chapter Greek letters and initiation number and a replica of the badge, will be placed in the Pathway. The member's first two initials and full name may be provided at an additional cost. The brick may be acquired by anyone - you, a relative, a Fraternity Brother - for any Sigma Nu and also for special friends of Sigma Nu (spouses, sweethearts, family members and others).
A gift of $200.00 includes the Pathway of Honor brick and framed rendering. Please note that $175.00 of this gift is tax-deductible.
The color rendering of the inscribed brick is handsomely framed and equipped with easel back that allows display on wall or shelf.
A number of Eta Beta Alumni have purchased a brick with ther name and Eta Beta Number on it to be placed along the Pathway of Honor at the Shrine of Sigma Nu Fraternity, in Lexington, VA; home of The Rock of Sigma Nu. All funds do go the the Sigma Nu Educational Foundation. Sigma Nu will also send you a framed replica of your brick for your records. You may then display/hang it in your office or home.
