Arnoult & Williams Ride to 2013 Sturgis Rally
On July 27th, Joe Arnoult and T. Jerry Williams began a journey with four others to the Sturgis 2013 Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota. Two of the riders were Gerald F. Bartee, aka Billy Bob and Randy Gorman, aka Rockin' Randy. Both were from Vancover, WA. Friends of TJ, they wanted to ride the Tail of the Dragon in NC. But they also wanted to do an Atlantic to Pacific run so TJ took them to Atlantic Beach, NC. From a quick ride and toe dip into the Atlantic they rode back to Raleigh. Sunday night they were joined by two more rider, Don and Mark Beason and with other friends, they all had a special dinner at 42nd Street Oyster Bar in Raleigh. On Monday the six riders headed out to ride The Snake, followed by Tail of the Dragon. Then it was on to Nashville, Memphis, Kansas City and westward to Colorado Springs, CO for a ride up Pikes Peak, where they rode through and on ice and snow.
From there it was on to Wyoming and into South Dakota, where they went to Mt. Rushmore and Crazy Horse before riding the Spearfish Canyon and on into the Sturgis-Rapid City area. After three days there they all headed home.  Billy Bob and Randy went to the West Coast and dipped their boot toe into the Pacific Ocean to complete their Ride. Joe, TJ, Don and Mark headed home via Wall, SD and The Badlands. It was a 5,058 mile adventure for the North Carolina boys from the seat of a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and the three photo albums below prove it.
