Harrel Sholar's Covid-19 Experience
Harrel G. Sholar, Eta Beta 44

Message from a Sigma Nu experiencing Covid-19:  Harrel G. Sholar, Eta Beta 44, who now lives in Beulaville, NC, has been dealing with Covid-19 and we wanted our brothers to read about it here. In his own words, his story is posted below.

Friends, let me tell you COVID19 is real. On Nov 14, I went for my annual CT Scan for my lung cancer. Thankfully still cancer free. But they discovered a blood clot on my left lung and immediately put me on blood thinners. Shortly thereafter my health went downhill. First, I became dehydrated, then I developed pneumonia. Was taken to emergency department twice and the second time I was admitted to the hospital. There is a period of five days that I have no recollection of anything that happened. I am thankful for the excellent medical treatment I received. I am now home. Doing ok. I am very tired and weak; but every day is a little better. Expect it to be after the first of the year before I am back to 100%. Bottom line is I am thankful I am recovering. Most of my friends are of my age. I encourage you to take care of yourself. I wore masks, stayed home and I still got the virus.

Note: We thought it wise to share this COVID-19 testimonial with our Brothers of Sigma Nu.
