1. Top Honors for the third year straight went to the Eta Beta Chapter of Sigma Nu.
Recently I had the privilege to join our executive members for the annual Greek Life Awards Banquet. As many of you know, the Eta Beta Chapter has been awarded Chapter of the Year for the previous two years. This year, as in recent years, belonged to the Eta Beta chapter again. They have raised the bar even higher by adding some new organizational awards as well as individual honors.
Tonights awards include:
- Chapter Honors:
- Chapter of the Year - 3x Outstanding Academic Program of the Year
- I believe in sports, we may be looking at the start of a dynasty.
- Outstanding Educational Program of the Year
- Outstanding Philanthropic
- Individual Honors:
- Rhys Collins - Undergraduate Award of Distinction
- Rhys Collins - Council Member of the Year
- Hall of Fame Inductees:
- Rhys Collins - Undergraduate Greek Hall of Fame
- Noah Rogers - Undergraduate Greek Hall of Fame
Rhys will be graduating at the end of the semester. Noah, as many of you may recall was one of our finalist for the Scholarship. He is currently serving on the IFC board and will likely move into a leadership position within the Chapter once his service in IFC is complete. |

If you see any of the guys out or speak to any of them, congratulate them for the hard work and dedication that they are showing.
2. Baseball Game - Chapter meet & greet
Currently, I have not received one single response from anyone interested in attending the baseball game or tailgating with the Chapter. I know the guys would love to have you out. Mark your calendars for March 23rd. Location 104 Stratford Rd., Greenville, NC.
3. Greek Life - Alumni Summit
Also, Greek Life will be putting on an Alumni Summit the weekend of April 12-14. They would like to get as many alumni involved as possible. Details from John Mountz are below.
"The Department of Greek Life at East Carolina University is planning a Greek Alumni Summit on the weekend of April 12-14. We will be hosting a “celebration of 60 years of Greek Life” reception on Friday the 12th and a “looking to the next 60 years of Greek Life” brunch on Saturday the 13th. Pirate Fest (a Greenville community-wide event) will be going on this weekend, so after our Department programming, there will be some fun opportunities for alumni to enjoy the area. Our hope is to have alumni from all experiences and time periods, regardless of their chapter status at ECU currently. We hope to recruit advisors, glean feedback, and open up lines of communication to better serve both our alumni and our chapters in the future."
