After a great meeting and luncheon at the Sheraton Imperial, the Snake Reunion was set to continue and wind up with a social hour and dinner at Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse out at Brier Creek. Festivities began at 6 p.m. and continued until...
While some participants were unable to stay for the Thursday evening event, there were others who made their first appearance that evening. It was a wonderful way to end two days of reunion, along with a golf tournament and a night out for North Carolina barbecue for those early birds who came early.
Some brothers had previously ordered special Snake Reunion shirts in advance of the reunion through King Tut (Bobby Tuttle). The High Council had other Sigma Nu goodies at the Ale House event, the alumni meeting and lunch. The Brasa staff did an excellent job of putting the finishing touches on a memorable time for the Eta Beta Snakes. And too, the Pirates went on to beat West Virginia on Saturday, September 6th, with a good showing from Sigma Nu in the stadium.
As word circulates we hope that even more Brothers and Pledges affiliated with Sigma Nu before the end of 1967 will join us for the next Snake Reunion in 2009. Although Sigma Nu at East Carolina shut down in 1967, we will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Eta Beta.
