Hound Dog Blues, a CD featuring blues and beach music by our KSN Brother Harold Langdon of Johnston County
Cover of Harold Langdon's CD from 2002
In addition to being one of the top trainers of Beagle Hounds in America, and the owner of Hillcrest Hounds, home of World Champion Beagles, Brother Harold owns Harold Langdon Music and has recorded under the name Harold Langdon and Lucky Landy.  During past Snake Reunion gatherings, we been fortunate enough to have Harold on hand to talk about his days in Memphis and other places while hanging  out with some of this country's top jazz, blues and country music stars. One might expect him to be a featured DJ on Elvis Radio from Graceland, found of Sirius XM any day now.

Those of you who love blues and shag music will really be taken back with his HOUND DOG BLUES CD.  You wll note that Harold actually wrote all of the songs featured on the CD, except for COOKSTOVE ANNIE, which he co-wrote with Gerald Davis, who plays guitar, bass, keyboards and does background vocals on the CD. I want to thank Keith Weatherly, Mayor of Apex, for making me aware of Harold's music one day in 2010, when he pulled out his cell phone and said. "Listen to this!"  I was hooked.

You'll hear some great sax solos by Mark Black and Jeff Grimes and really dig the Harmonica work by Greg "Fingers" Taylor.  And too, there are a number of other artists associated with the various tracks on the CD, as you will see on the copyright notice.

You are encouraged to order the Hound Dog Blues CD from Harold Langdon Music, 5662 NC HWY 210, Smithfield, NC 27577.  The price has been reduced at Harold's request to $15 for the CD and will include postage. You may also place your order by calling Harold at 919-934-1960 or 919-631-6549.

We also are featuring a copy of
BR'ER RABBIT and OLE BLUE online for you to sample. Keep your fingers crossed but click on the song or music icon below to hear Harold singing and his Beagles barking.  If you like good music you will love Harold's CD. In fact, you will probably want to buy a second or third copy to give to others.  Hound Dog Blues is a must for blues and beach music lovers.
