Wednesday Evening Barbecue At The National Headquarters of Sigma Nu |
The Wednesday evening event, held on the grounds of the Sigma Nu Headquarters in Lexington, featured a Virginia Barbecue and music by Boogie King's Band.
Also some of KSN, Harold Langdon's music, from his CD "Hound Dog Blues," was played during the intermission and Harold donated 10 copies of his CD to be sold to those participating, with the money going into the "Snake Reunion Kitty." You may find and listen to samples of Harold's music on the first page of this site by scrolling down and clicking on the music icon for each of the three songs listed. Further, in the archives section of this site is a section on Harold and his beagles. Two of his other songs are featured there and may still be heard on this site by clicking here.
National did an excellent job of working with Jim Stout to have us under a tent for the Wednesday evening event and the Thursday luncheon. After each event there was a "B-Line" back to the Log Cabin.
SR #4, thanks to the Virginia Team, Jim Stout's friends and those officials of Sigma Nu National along with those attending was a grand event. And since SR #5 will be held in Greenville in 2012 there will be no excuse for people like Danny Vismor, Walter Bost, Billy Stocks, and Burt Stancil from attending. Even our guys in California and Hawaii might just come back for that one. Both KSN and SN brothers from all over will be expected. So everyone should come and see who you can recognize or not recognize. Charley White and Jimmy Phelps will be asked to speak about their early days as a KSN Colony and those two along with Lyle Cooper and Roddy Jones can tell us how the got Leo Jenkins to agree to allow Sigma Nu on campus.
This should also be the first Annual Brotherhood Meeting of the Eta Beta Alumni Association.
IF YOU ARE AN ETA BETA, from the first, second or third charter, or a Kappa Sigma Nu, we expect you to be there as we call out the names of those who have gone before us!
